"Classes in the container classes are much more enjoyable than in the old building." This is the conclusion reached by the pupils of the BBZ in Diepholz. They have been taught in mobile classrooms by ELA Container for several months.
Like many schools, the main building of BBZ has hardly been changed since the mid-1970s. Time for structural and energy-related refurbishment. And it's not even a quick fix during the summer holidays. For some classes, therefore, a temporary solution had to be found during the construction work.
In close coordination with the Diepholz district and the school, ELA Container developed a mobile container solution for this purpose - closely tailored to the school's needs. "Very helpful and pragmatic suggestions came from ELA," acknowledges architect Rolf Wege. The construction went exactly as planned, and ELA also fulfilled all individual equipment wishes.
From 36 ELA school containers, eight classrooms for up to 200 pupils were created on more than 630 square metres. The rooms have a very good indoor climate and are equipped with acoustic sails. "I would personally advise every prospective user to do this, as they contribute particularly to a positive perception of the room", recommends architect Wege.
Project Manager Kevin Koopmann and ELA Area Sales Manager Simon Harenkamp supervised the project and are satisfied: "If the pupils like the transitional solution better than the original building, then we have probably done everything right."
