Not only ELA Container has grown strongly in recent years. Other companies in the region are also recording strong growth. For example, the construction specialist Mainka, a family business with a 125-year tradition. In the last 20 years, the team has more than doubled from just under 250 to more than 600 employees.
Office extension in Lingen
However, the rising number of employees is not only reflected in the number of staff working abroad, but also in the administration, where the company grew beyond its office capacities. For this reason, the company decided to add an administrative wing at the Lingen site. However, an interim solution had to be found before completion. Since Mainka has been relying on ELA containers on its construction sites for a long time, the choice fell on a system of office containers from ELA.
High flexibility convinces
For Thomas Hanke, authorised representative and project manager at Mainka, the reasons for ELA were obvious: "ELA Container was able to realise the desired requirements regarding the scope and quality of a temporary office solution at short notice. In the collaboration, I can positively emphasise in particular the high flexibility in implementation and planning". It was also important to the customer that ongoing operations could continue unhindered.
Start of construction on schedule
Thanks to the targeted preparation of quotations and competent advice from ELA's field service, the actual construction work could begin on schedule. "Even fire protection requirements and individual customer requests were implemented without problems, without extending delivery and installation times", Hanke is impressed.
Three-storey container facility
The transitional office building, made up of 59 ELA premium containers and 12 quality all-rounders, offers administrative staff plenty of space on three floors with about 1250 square metres. Whether spacious office and meeting rooms, break rooms and tea kitchen or toilets - the employees do not have to make any concessions in terms of comfort in the container facility. Internal staircases and wide corridors give the facility a generous feeling of space, and air conditioning units for cooling and heating ensure a pleasant indoor climate.
Individualised design
The system should also be attractive outdoors. At the customer's request, the container frames were painted in Mainka blue, and the external stairwell tower was clad with ELA mesh banners as weather protection. The system will remain on the Mainka site for about twelve months until the new office wing is completed.
